In the right hands, massage therapy can reduce pain, increase circulation, and create a sense of deep relaxation so that you feel rejuvenated, inspired, powerful. That’s why it’s important to choose a professional for your massage therapy.

Cathy Davis is a licensed massage therapist and massage teacher with over 30 years of professional massage experience. She is constantly refining her skills so she can offer you the latest techniques, from Thai Stretch massage,  manual lymph drainage and craniosacral massage to Reiki, deep tissue massage and Swedish massage. Her enthusiasm and depth of knowledge are apparent from the moment you meet her.

2020   During the pandemic Cathy continued taking online classes,  learning cupping.  Soft cupping is plastic cup that glides along tight areas.  Hard, glass cupping is applied to areas, using multiple cups which stay on for about 10 minutes.  It does not bruise. But the red spots are healing the underlying tissues within 3-5 days.

2021 Cathy learned KT taping.  Very useful to assist comfort while you are healing.

December 2019 she made her 2nd trek to Thailand to learn Advanced Thai Table Massage and Advanced Reflexology.   January 2017 Cathy went to Thailand for to further her skills in Thai Massage. Both times she studied in Chang Mai, Thailand.  This over the clothing work has deep profound effects.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, are dealing with chronic pain, or just want to be pampered, Davis Massage Therapy is the place to relax, unwind and feel simply amazing.

Cathy also has a passion for teaching. She has taught at the Bancroft School of Massage, The Salter School,  and the Community College of Rhode Island.     She also taught volleyball, teambuilding games at Bridgewater State University.

November 2021 Cathy foster failed adopting 6 month dog, Jackson, whom is her furry baby.   She has a soft place in her heart for animals and children!

When dealing with an animal,  you need to observe them, connect with them, understand them.......and especially help them feel safe.     This is why Cathy wants to also teach Basic Dog Massage Classes.  Teaching people how to cue in to your dogs behaviors, reactions to touch,  and build strong, trusting relationships.
